This research has aimed to investigate whether the self-evaluation implementations in violoncello classes have effect on student performance and attitude; thus, it has intended to contribute to the efficiency of the violoncello classes in accordance with the final findings and suggestions of this study.The sample group has been consisted of the entire group of violoncello students (n=16) in Ondokuz Mayıs University, the Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts / Music Education in 2010-2011 Academic Year.`An Attitude Scale for Violoncello Lesson` by Umuzdaş (2012) and `A Graded Scoring Rubric for Violoncello Lesson` developed by the us have been used as data gathering instruments. To verify the validity of the scoring rubric, which has been developed to evaluate students' performance, experts' opinions have been taken. The scoring rubric, of which intraclass correlation coefficient has been measured (0,952), has been considered reliable. Before and after the implementation, the students filled in the attitude scale. Their performances have been assessed by five experts using the above-mentioned scoring rubric. The students have scored the same performances using the scoring rubric before and after the implementation by watching their own videos. In addition, the students' opinions on self-evaluation implementations have been taken after the implementation. The data gathered have been analyzed through the statistical analysis program SPSS 17.0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences). To determine the effect of self-evaluation implementations on the students' performances and attitudes; furthermore, to measure the difference between the points they have given to their own performances, Wilcoxon signed ranks test has been used. Additionally, the students' opinions have been investigated and a qualitative evaluation has been carried out.At the end of the implementation period, it has been observed that the students' performances and attitudes have developed, who conducted self-evaluation over a semester (13 weeks). In addition, the students have observed improvement in their performances and they have considered the implementation positive, pleasurable and improving. In this context, self-evaluation implementations can be said to improve the efficiency of the violoncello lessons given in Ondokuz Mayıs University, the Faculty of Education, Department of Fine Arts / Music Education.Key Words: Violoncello instruction, self-evaluation, rubric, performance, attitude.

Bu araştırma, viyolonsel dersinde öz değerlendirme uygulamalarının öğrenci performans ve tutumuna etkisinin olup olmadığını belirleyip, elde edilen sonuç ve öneriler doğrultusunda viyolonsel derslerinin verimliliğine yönelik katkıda bulunmak amacını taşımaktadır.Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümü Müzik Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı'nda 2010-2011 Akademik Yılı'nda viyolonsel dersi alan bütün öğrenciler (n=16) çalışma grubunu oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Umuzdaş (2012) tarafından geliştirilen `Viyolonsel Dersine İlişkin Tutum Ölçeği` ve tarafımızdan geliştirilen `Viyolonsel Dersine Yönelik Dereceli Puanlama Anahtarı (rubrik)` kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin performanslarını ölçmek amacıyla geliştirilen bu puanlama anahtarının geçerliği için uzman görüşleri alınmıştır. Sınıf içi korelasyon katsayısı (0,952) olarak hesaplanan puanlama anahtarı güvenilir bulunmuştur. Öğrenciler uygulama öncesi ve sonrasında tutum ölçeğini doldurmuştur. Öğrencilerin uygulama öncesi ve sonrasındaki performansları beş uzman tarafından rubrik ile değerlendirilmiştir. Öğrenciler aynı performansları, uygulama öncesi ve sonrasında, kendilerini video kameradan izleyerek rubrik ile puanlamışlardır. Ayrıca, uygulama sonrasında öğrencilerin öz değerlendirme uygulamaları ile ilgili görüşleri de alınmıştır.Elde edilen veriler SPSS 17.0 ( Statistical Package For Social Sciences) istatistik paket programına girilerek çözümlenmiştir. Öz değerlendirme uygulamalarının öğrencilerin performanslarına ve tutumlarına etkisini belirlemek ve kendi performanslarına verdikleri puan farkını ölçmek için Wilcoxon işaretli sıralar testi kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca öğrenci görüşleri incelenerek nitel değerlendirme yapılmıştır.Uygulamanın sonucunda, bir yarıyıl (13 hafta) boyunca öz değerlendirme yapan öğrencilerin performans ve tutumlarının geliştiği görülmüştür. Ayrıca öğrenciler de kendi performanslarında gelişme olduğunu görmüş, uygulamayı olumlu, zevkli ve geliştirici bulmuştur. Bu bağlamda, öz değerlendirme uygulamalarının Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümü Müzik Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı'nda yapılan viyolonsel derslerinin verimliliğini artırdığını söylemek mümkündür.Anahtar Sözcükler: Viyolonsel öğretimi, öz değerlendirme, rubrik, performans, tutum.
