SUMMARYACTIVITY BASED KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT MODEL INCONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENTThe numbers of construction companies in our country which are managed on the basisof project management are increasing permanently. It?s easily recognized that the profitrate is increased at the end of project with the adoption and implementation of projectmanagement. Beside the optimization of time, cost and quality which form thefundamental of project management, there are other concepts affecting this optimizationin project management process. Knowledge management is one of these concepts. The main phases of knowledge management are knowledge acquisition, finding existingknowledge, knowledge organization and storage, knowledge sharing, knowledgeupdate. Knowledge can be obtained in two forms; explicit knowledge and tacitknowledge. Explicit knowledge is the concrete knowledge that can be obtained at theend of project. Project reports, documents, data, drawings, laws which are in scope ofproject, knowledge about the employee can be exemplified for explicit knowledge.Tacit knowledge; is the experimental knowledge that can be obtained at the end of theproject through the solutions of problems and applications which can?t be seenfrequently that occur during the construction of project. When existing systems are considered, engineers and experts often leave theorganizations without the experiences they gain. Knowledge which is formed through, the solutions of problems during the construction phase of projects and then stored inactivity based, can be used for same or similar activities at future projects. Thus we can reduce the time and cost of solutions of the problems and increase thequality of applications.Valuable knowledge must be available in various forms with the computer systems andnetwork technology, experience and knowledge can be collected and shared effectivelysystematically. Application of network based knowledge management system willincrease the application speed furthermore it will provide an opportunity for easilyaccess to knowledge. Here in this study an Activity based knowledge management model in constructionproject management is formed for a residence construction. In addition acquisition, organization, storage, sharing and update of knowledge by the use of computertechnology during the construction phase of projects is aimed throughout the project.ix.

ÖZETN AAT PROJE YÖNET M NDE FAAL YET ESASLI B LG YÖNET MMODELProje yönetimi esaslarıyla yönetilen in aat firmalarının ba arı grafi inin hızla yükseldi ibilinmektedir. n aat firmalarında proje yönetimi kavramının benimsenmesi veuygulanmasıyla proje sonunda amaçlanan kar oranının arttı ı kolaylıklagözlenebilmektedir. Bilgi yönetiminin ana a amaları; bilginin elde edilmesi, varolan bilginin bulunması,bilginin organize edilip depolanması, bilginin payla ımı ve bilginin güncellenmesiolarak be kısımda incelenmektedir. Bu çalı manın amacı, konut in aatı projeleri için `'in aat proje yönetiminde faaliyetesaslı bilgi yönetimi modeli'' olu turmaktır. Modelde, in aat yapım a amasındabilgisayar teknolojisi kullanılarak bilginin elde edilmesi, organizasyonu, saklanması,payla ımı, güncellenmesi amaçlanmı tır.viii.
