The purpose of this research is to investigate the social interests of undergraduate students in terms of some variables. According to Adler, the level of social interest that determines the quality of human relationships with community and with all living and inanimate nature, is an indicator of his mental health. In this context, the social interest level of the participants was examined according to some socio-demographic variables as well as other variables defined by the researcher considering that they were related to social interest. Some of which are; self-knowledge, perceptions of their own place in community and perceived degree of spirituality, the frequency of using information and communication technologies and social networks, media type and communication preferences. The study group consisted of 827 students, 581 female, 245 male and 1 other, from each grade level studying at different departments of Ufuk University. Social Interest Index was used to determine the level of social interest. Data on the independent variables were collected by means of the Personal Information Form prepared by the researcher. Non-parametric tests were used for data analysis. In the scope of this research, the reliability study of the Social Interest Index was also performed by the test-retest method. The Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was found to be 0.89 and the test-retest reliability coefficient was 0.90.In the analyses, statistically significant differences were found between social interest and gender, attended department, relationship with parents, one's perception about himself/herself as a child, feeling safe, free and autonomous among others and one's self-image as a free, equal and autonomous member of community. Also significant were the differences between the social interest and the time devoted to the environment, knowing one's self, participating in the activities that foster self-knowledge, and perceived degree of spirituality. Social interest points of participants who accept the existence of all people and other living beings, the equality of their rights and freedoms; recognize the needs of animals and nature; who prefere `face-to-face` communication and `written media` among media types were significantly higher. No significant difference was found between other variables and social interest. The results were discussed in the light of previous researches and recommendations were made in line with the evidences.Key Words: Social Interest, Community Feeling, Sense of Social Belonging/Sense of Community Belonging, Alfred Adler.

Araştırma grubunu, Ufuk Üniversitesi'nin farklı bölümlerinde öğrenim gören her sınıf düzeyinden, 581'i kadın, 245'i erkek ve 1'i diğer olmak üzere, toplam 827 öğrenci oluşturmuştur.
