Caravaggio is of great importance for the Baroque Period painting. His style has dragged many people after him in terms of the techniques he used and left his mark on the period. The artist who deserved the title of `Father of Baroque` until the end did not only use the techniques of this new movement in his paintings but also determined the characteristics of the period. Caravaggio uses light and shadow intensely to create a striking contrast in his paintings. The figures of Caravaggio move, are scared, terrified. It does not surprise us to see blood and violence on Caravaggio's canvas. Because it is cowardly to avoid seeing these moments. The artist who intersperses the dramatic traces of his life in paintings, depicts Jesus and those who follow him without fear, in distant places and from time to time with his torn, old clothes. Caravaggio, who open the walls of his mind beyond the sacred, does what has not been done before and thinks of the unthinkable. It does not put aside what is left of the Renaissance, but moves away from the Renaissance step by step with new solutions and applications. In the study entitled Iconography of Caravaggio in European Depiction Art, Caravaggio's Paintings Based on Religious Iconography, Mythological Iconography Based Works, Profan Works are examined within the framework of Panofsky Scale.
