The relation between cinematic narrative and social structure is connected to each other with inseparable roots. This bond revealed the transfer of the gendered social structure through cinematic representations. As the roles of women and men are related to the historical transformation of the social structure, the women are positioned at two extreme points in history. Civilization constitutes the line of change in the position of women. The women are the most valuable asset of society throughout pre-civilization, called the matriarchal period. She was accepted as `The Great Mother Goddess` or `Mother Earth` because of the values she made for the society. From agriculture to art, she is the founder of many things that exist today. However, society has become compatible with power relations with the dominance of hierarchical codes. Patriarchal values formed the dominant structure and the society was alienated from the values that formed its roots. The women are positioned outside the structure. The cinematic narratives created to ensure the continuity of the sovereign structure, for many years, built the women as a passive extension. However, the transformation of social, economic and political processes over time has resulted in the shattering of the dominant structure. This development transformed the social and cinematic positions of the genders. Since the end of the seventies, alternative forms have emerged alongside dominant forms of discourse and representation. This situation led to the formation of narrative patterns that centered the women. The aim of this study is to reveal the relationship between the transformation of the dominant cinematic narrative pattern to alternative values and the femininity re-built in today's popular cinematic narratives in the historical and social context. In this context, the necessary review was made on the popular television series Game of Thrones. Considering that the sample is a television series, it is not a contradictory situation to reveal the transformation of female character through cinematic narratives. Because the codes used by television and cinema are compatible with each other. The characterization phenomenon of television series has become standardized with cinematic narratives. The study features qualitative research. The data were analyzed by using interpretive approach using descriptive analysis method. According to the research results, in the popular cinematic narratives, alternative values as well as the sovereign values have begun to be effective in the construction of the narrative. Thus, the women are no longer able to be presented over her real identity and from being the ancient alien of the narrative to more accessible to the position guiding the narrative.

Bu bağlamda, gerekli inceleme popüler televizyon dizilerinden Game of Thrones üzerinde yapılmıştır. Ele alınan örneklemin bir televizyon dizisi olduğu göz önünde bulundurulduğunda, kadın karakterin yaşadığı dönüşümü sinemasal anlatılar üzerinden vermek çelişkili bir durum ortaya çıkartmamaktadır. Çünkü televizyon ve sinemanın kullandığı kodlar birbiriyle uyum göstermektedir. Televizyon dizilerinin karakterizasyon olgusu, sinemasal anlatılarla standardize hale gelmiştir. Çalışma, nitel araştırma özelliği taşımaktadır. Elde edilen veriler, betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılarak yorumlayıcı yaklaşımla çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, günümüzün popüler sinemasal anlatılarında, egemen değerlerin yanı sıra alternatif değerler de anlatının inşasında etkili olmaya başlamıştır. Böylece kadın, gerçek kimliği üzerinden sunulmaya ve anlatının kadim ötekisi olmaktan çıkıp, anlatıya yön veren konuma daha çok ulaşabilir hale gelmiştir.
