Investigating the mechanism of alpha decay of heavy and super-heavy nuclei is an interesting problem both theoretically and experimentally, since emitting cluster from unstable nuclei can provide useful information on the shell structure of core. In addition, emitting alpha from nuclei is an appropriate tool, used to determine the properties of the super-heavy nuclei. In these nuclei, spherical symmetry breaks down due to the intensive Coulomb repulsion, therefore heavy nuclei are extremely deformed. In this context, we investigate the effect of the nuclear deformation on alpha-decay half-life systematically, during the transition of deformed medium, heavy and super-heavy nuclei from ground state to ground state, by taking into account the condition of the Bohr-Sommerfeld Quantization within the framework of the WKB method. In the calculations, in order to take into account the entire deformation effects in a phenomenological way, a specific deformation of deformed Wood-Saxon and Coulomb potential was used and the preformation of the main nucleus formation was associated. To show the effect of the deformation on the half-lives, the calculations were performed by assuming the nuclei as spherically symmetric. We have demonstrated that all of these methods have improved the theoretical results and have shown very good agreement with the experimental data.
