The main purpose of this research is the evaluation of effects of project-based instruction applied in primary school 8th grade communication technologies course on success on the basis of students and teachers? views.The research was carried out in three primary schools in Seyhan district of Adana in 2009-2010 spring semester. The Study group includes 8th grade students from Seyhan İkinci İnönü Primary School, Seyhan Dede Korkut Primary School ve Seyhan Cumhuriyet Primary School. The study group includes 25 students from each school the total of which is 75 and 12 communications technologies course teachers.The students and teachers were given surveys during the research. The data gathered were tested by correlation mann whitney and descriptive statistical data and the survey?s being meaningful was tested in the level of .000This study indicates that project-based instruction was partially applied in communications technologies course and that project and performance assignments were given to students. At the end of the study, it was proven the knowledge that have learnt with the project and performance assignments given to the students are more permanent.Key words : project-based instruction, academic success, permanence, project and performance assignment.

Bu araştırmanın genel amacı, ilköğretim 8. Sınıf Bilişim Teknolojileri dersinde uygulanan proje tabanlı öğretimin başarıya etkisinin öğrenci ve öğretmen görüşleri temelinde değerlendirilmesidir.Araştırma 2009-2010 öğretim yılı bahar yarıyılında, Adana ili Seyhan ilçesinde 3 ilköğretim okulunda yapılmıştır. Çalışma grubunu Seyhan İkinci İnönü İlköğretim Okulu, Seyhan Dede Korkut İlköğretim Okulu ve Seyhan Cumhuriyet İlköğretim Okulu 8. sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmaya bu üç okulun herbirinden 25 öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 75 öğrenci ve 12 Bilişim Teknolojileri öğretmeni katılmıştır.Araştırma sürecinde öğrenci ve öğretmenlere anket çalışması uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler koralasyon, mann whitney u testi ve betimsel istatistik verileri ile sınanmış, .000 düzeyinde anlamlılığı test edilmiştir.Bu çalışmada, Bilişim Teknolojileri dersinde proje tabanlı öğretimin kısmen uygulandığı, öğrencilerin proje ve performans görevi ile görevlendirildikleri belirlenmiştir. Yapılan araştırma sonucunda öğrencilere verilen proje ve performans görevi ile öğrenilen bilgilerin daha kalıcı olduğu saptanmıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler : Proje temelli öğretim, akademik başarı, kalıcılık, proje ve performans görevi.
