Özet

Cinema is an art form that develops and appeals to human imagination by means of special and visual effects in the context of both the creative process and the product that emerges. In 1895, the special effects adventure, which started with the film `The Execution of Mary` by the Scottish Queen, has reached unpredictable dimensions of cinematography through the use of technological developments and effects applications tailored to needs. In this context, what is the differences between special and visual effect are explained in the research process. The special effects are included in the application areas of visual effects at the same time as the historical development process. As a result of the study, selected films from Hollywood Cinema and Turkish Cinema from 2008 were analyzed in terms of the parameters determined by the method of cinematic criticism by moving from behind the camera.
