Pan-Islamism is one of the most significant streams of thought in the Constitutional Monarchy Period. Generally, the intellectuals coming together around the idea of ?Islam Union? (İttihad-ı İslam) strived to promote this idea by making contributions to this idea. In this period, especially Cemaleddin Afgani and Muhammed Abduh who are accepted as the leaders of Modern İslâm ideology had great influences.Another important advocate of this movement was Eşref Edip in the Ottoman Empire and then in the Turkish Republic. Edib, would get together with the intellectuals that he fell into line with and begin his long publishing life, which constitutes the topic of this dissertation. Eşref Edib, despite his long life, is an intellectual who took a backseat and who was not studied thoroughly. His publishings come into prominence more than he did. However, although his magazines discontinued sometimes, he proceeded on his way believing in the strength of his ideology. In the introduction of the dissertation, an evaluation of references and surveys takes place, in addition some information is given about Eşref Edip?s family, his birth, education life and his intellectual environment. In the first chapter; the political and ideological structure in the II.Period of Constitutional Monarchy is analysed and the idea of Islamism is dwelled upon. In the second chapter; ?Sırat-ı Müstakim?, ?Sebilürreşad?, ?Sebilürreşad? and Secularism?, ?Nurculuk?, the Encyclopedia of Islam-Turk(İslâm-Türk Ansiklopedisi) are looked through and the War of Independence years of Eşref Edip and the Independence Tribunals are reviewed. In the third chapter; You could find a collection from other disstertations and encyclopedia entries about Eşref Edib and the entries in the Encyclopedia of Islam-Turk (İslâm-Türk Ansiklopedisi) which was written by him.Hopefully, this dissertation would present a small hint for the researchers that would study this topic in the future.
