The financial system is a structure that brings together fund flows from the economic units with excess funds, which affect the flows of these funds, and the combination of multiple factors contributing to fund procurement and accumulation. This structure has significant effects on the conversion process to investments in investments in an economy. The quantitative growth of a financial system in the total economy as well as the development of the qualitative direction implies financial development. When measuring the concept of financial development, it is seen that the criteria that mostly evaluate quantitatively are considered. In this thesis study, the concept of financial development was investigated with the help of variables expressing the depth and magnitude of financial markets, that is to say, whether the financial development for the Turkish economy had an effect on economic growth. The M3's national income rate (M3 / GDP), which represents the growth of the financial sector as a measure of financial development in the survey and which is indicative of the supply of money in a broad sense, has been used. Short and long term causalities were determined by using the ARDL bound test approach in the analysis studies. When the findings are evaluated; Both financial development and economic growth are mutually influential variables in the short-term. When the mentioned relationship is examined in the long term, the result is different and the mutual relationship is getting out of the way. Since the influence of money is considered neutral in the long run, it is significant that in the long run economic growth does not have an impact on financial development.
