In this study, water quality parameters and organophosphorus pesticides estimated in 8 selected stations from Iznik Lake. Organochlorine pesticides also estimated in fish samples that obtained from diffrent parts of the lake. To perceive the effect of he pesticide accumulation on blue-green algae, Nodularia spumigena and Aphanizomenon aphanizomenoides isolated from the lake to see changes on cultures due to the time, two pesticides (diazinon and azinphos-ethyl) at 0.5 ml concentration were given to cultures from the 10 ppm stock solution. Results showed that Iznik Lake is mesotrophic and eutrophic from time to time. The main nutrients nitrogen, phosphorus and silica solutions were very high during the year. The results of organophosporus peticides in water samples were changed through the stations and the highest estimated value was 852 µg l-1 in 6th station on February 2009. Guthion was the highest pesticides in all stations during the study.Organochlorine pesticides especially Alfa-BHC, Gama-BHC and Aldrine residues were dedected in the muscle and liver samples of the fishes obtained from the lake and DDT residues, which was forbidden in our country, also dedected.Added diazinon and azinphos-ethyl cultures Nodularia spumigena and Aphanizomenon aphanizomenoides, not showed any significant decreases on growth curve. But in Nodularia spumigena cultures, chlorophyll-a value reduction dedected for both pesticides at 48th hour. In cultures added diazinon the chlorophyll-a value were decreased from 91.74 ?g l-1 to 59.2 ?g l-1; 91.74 ?g l-1to 47.36 ?g l-1? for the azinphos-ethyl pesticide.Due to the results of this study, consideration of the mean pesticide per annum, Iznik Lake determinated 3th class for pesticide qualty. Two blue-green alga species isolated from the lake, took the pesticides in their structure in a very high value is the mainresult of this study.

Fakat N. spumigena türünde 48. saatte her iki pestisit için klorofil-a değerlerinde azalma tespit edilmiştir. Diazinon eklenmiş kültürlerde klorofil- a 48. saate 91.74 ?g l-1 den 59.2 ?g l-1'e; azinfos-etil eklenmiş kültürlerde bu miktar 91.74 ?g l-1'den 47.36 ?g l-1'e gerilemiştir.Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre, yıllık ortalama pestisit miktarları göz önüne alındığında İznik Gölü su kalitesi pestisitler bakımından 3. sınıf su kalitesinde bulunmuştur. Ayrıca gölden izole edilen iki mavi-yeşil alg türünün pestisitleri yüksek oranlarda bünyelerine alabildikleri tespit edilmiştir.
