This study was conducted during 2009-2010 in greenhouse conditions according to randomized block design with four replicates and ten characters in the İZMİR -Torbalı/Yeniköy-Kabacakır region greenhouses. The main material of the trial consisted of the individuals of root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita and Meloidogyne javanica) at different age found in the green house soil, tomato plants of cultivar as Gökçe grafted on Beaufort or as ungrafted, epigeous parts of Brassica olerace var. italica L. (Cruciferae) (broccoli) and the transparent polyethylene film. The characters trial are consisted of the positive control treatment ( with nematodes) (1), the chemical control treatment using with the Oxamyl (Vydate®) known as effective against nematodes (2), the use of grafted seedlings known as resistant roots stocks against to root knot nematodes (3), the treatments with the application of epigeous parts of broccoli plants which has nematicidal effects (4), the soil solarization treatments with two different duration (4-8 weeks) (5-6) and the combination of the broccoli plants or grafted seedlings together with these two soil solarization treatments (7-10).In terms of the mesaurements, it was determined that the treatment of solarization + broccoli were increase the soil temperature as 6.80C and 7.2 0C according to the broccoli and control treatments respectively. According to the findings, it was determined that the lowest gall index values were in the treatments of soil solarization alone (8 weeks) (0.00) and in the treatments of solarization + broccoli (0.23) which were evaluated as the most effective treatments. Additionally, in the evaluation of the numbers of second stage juvenile of root-knot nematodes in the soil done at the end of trial, the least numbers of were determined in the soils of the treatments of 4 weeks? solarization + broccoli (0.00) or 8 weeks? solarization + broccoli (0.00). At the end of trials, the highest yield value was obtained from the treatments of 4 weeks? solarization + broccoli (9.51 kg/m2). Finally, it was possible to say that the treatments of 4 or 8 weeks? solarization with broccoli could be an efficient alternative control strategy against Meloidogyne incognita and M. javanica in organic tomatoes growing.Key words: Meloidogyne incognita, Meloidogyne javanica, Brassica olerace var. italica, grafted seedlings, solarization, organic agriculture.
