Satellites can be classified as military, observation, communication, and satellites, as they are used at every point in our lives. It is aimed to contribute to the science of geodesy and remote sensing, communication, deformation studies and observations of atmospheric events that adhere to earth orbit. Determination of the shape of the ground (geoid) and gravity field; geodesy and geophysical studies.A number of global geopotential models have been produced, especially using CHAMP (CHAllenging Minisatellite Payload), GRACE (Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment), GOCE (Gravity fi eld and steady-state Ocean Circulation Explorer) orbital information or terrestrial gravity measurements, altimeter data. Global geopotential models are very important in terms of geo-determination studies. Therefore the model of the testing of performance in Turkey and were working to determine geoid model must be determined to provide the best contribution. It identifies the best global geopotential model for determining the gravitational field in a region; The best way to compare GGMs and demonstrate their performance with GPS / Level data sets is in the literature. In this study, the island and the geoid height produced from current global geopotential model, Edirne, Tekirdağ, Kırklareli, Bilecik, Kütahya, Eskişehir total of 696 units located in the provinces of Turkey difference between produced geoid height from the point connected to the National Fundamental GPS Network was calculated. In addition, the results of the performance of the models on a regional basis were examined.

Özellikle CHAMP (CHAllenging Minisatellite Payload), GRACE (Gravity Recovery And Climate Experiment), GOCE (Gravity field and steady-state Ocean Circulation Explorer) alçak yörünge uydularının yörünge bilgileri veya yersel gravite ölçümleri, altimetre verileri kullanılarak bir çok global jeopotansiyel model üretilmiştir.
