The life of Ibn Hajar al-Haytamî, a major contributor to Islamic Knowledge with his works, consisted of two phases. He spent the first phase of his life during Mamluks' rule in Egypt, where he was born and spent his childhood and youth. After completing his elementary education, Ibn Hajar al- Haytamī continued his schooling at al-Azhar, which is considered the first Islamic University, where he studied under many noteworthy scholars. The prominent ones of them were Shaykh al-Islam Qadi Zechariah Al-Ansari, Abdulhak b. Muhammad b. Abdulhak ez-Zeyni as-Sunbati Al-Kahiri ash-Shafi'î and Shihabuddin Ahmad B. as-Saigh Al-Misri is Al-Hanafi. When he was still in Egypt, he obtained his ijazah, a certificate used primarily by Muslims to indicate that one has been authorized by a higher authority to transmit a certain subject or text of Islamic knowledge. From the age of 20, he started releasing fatwa, a nonbinding legal opinion on a point of Islamic law (sharia) given by a qualified jurist in response to a question posed by a private individual, judge or government. He spent the second phase of his life in the city of Mecca, a sacred town in the Hijaz region, under the rule of the Ottomans. He taught many students in the field of Islamic Knowledge at Masjid-i Haram. Therefore, his fame has spread throughout the Islamic World and many students have flocked to the city of Mecca to learn from him. He has given many fatwas in the field of Fiqh and Aqaid. The fatwas he gave in those fields were respected and was abided by Muslims. In order to find solutions to the religious problems of that period, he wrote many valuable works and presented them to the benefit of Muslims. He was the follower of Ashʿari theological school on creedal matters and Shafi'î law school on juridical matters. For this reason, his views on creed and jurisprudence were also in line with the views of these two scholars. Due to his teachers were Sufi people and he lived in a period when Sufi thought was at its peak, he was brought up as a Sufi. When he saw that Sufism began to lose its original direction, he tried hard to protect the original Sufism and wrote many works to protect society from falsified Sufism. He wrote annotations on some of the works written by his predecessors as well as wrote independent works on Shafi'î jurisprudence in order to improve Shafi'î jurisprudence and to make it better available to people. He made great contributions to Shafi'î jurisprudence through his opinions, his fatwas and the works he wrote. Each of the books he wrote is very valuable and continue to be useful reference book to date. Many of his books have the capacity and the wealth of information to be the subject of an academic thesis. In this study, we have wanted to draw attention to the scientific personality of Ibn Hajar al-Haytamî and the works he produced so that the scientific legacy that he left in the name of Islamic Knowledge would be the subject of further academic studies. İslami ilimlere eserleriyle büyük bir katkıda bulunan İbn Hacer el-Heytemî'nin hayatı iki aşamadan oluşmaktadır. Hayatının birinci aşamasını Memlûkler'in hâkimiyeti altında Mısır'da geçirmiştir.
