The aim of this research is to determine the effects of systematic creative problem solving activities on theorical, experimental, daily life and creative problems solving of 7 th grade elementary school students. A research was organized in accordance with pretest-posttest control group experimental research in order to answer the prepared questions.This study was carried out in 2010-2011 academic year with 7th grade students in an elementary school in Ümraniye, İstanbul. The study group consists of a controlgroup (n = 39) on which the existing curriculum was implemented and the experimental group (n = 39) on which systematic creative problem solving program was implemented.In the study, as pretest-posttest data collection tools, scientific achievement test consisting of theoretical, experimental and daily life problem parts in multiple choice and open ended type and creative problem test were used. In addition, interviews technique was used in order to collect data regarding the opinions of experimental group students on the systematic creative problem solving. The analysis of the data was made using SPSS 20 statistics program through t tests, descriptive statistics and content analysis. As a result of this study, a meaningful difference was found in favor of the experimental group in all scientific achievement test parts except multiple choices theoretical problems test. This finding showed that systematic creative problem solving has a positive effect on the multiple choice experimental, multiple choice daily life and open ended theoretical, experimental and daily life problems solving involving use of higher order thinking skills. The findings obtained from creative problem test which is another data collection tool showed that students in the experimental group significantly improved their achievements in generating creative solutions to the problems compared to the control group. Bu araştırmada, ilköğretim 7. Sınıf öğrencilerinin ışık konusundaki kuramsal, deneysel, günlük yaşam ve yaratıcı problemleri çözmelerine, sistematik yaratıcı problem çözme etkinliklerinin etkisinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Ön test-son test kontrol gruplu deneysel desene uygun olarak düzenlenen araştırmada belirlenen ana ve alt problemlere cevaplar aranmıştır.Çalışma, 2010-2011 eğitim-öğretim yılında, İstanbul ili Ümraniye ilçesindeki bir ilköğretim okulunun 7. Sınıfında öğrenim gören öğrenciler ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma grubunu, mevcut programın uygulandığı kontrol grubu öğrencileri (n=39) ile sistematik yaratıcı problem çözme etkinlikli programın uygulandığı deney grubu öğrencileri (n=39) oluşturmaktadır.Çalışmada ön test ve son test veri toplama aracı olarak, çoktan seçmeli ve açık uçlu türdeki kuramsal, deneysel ve günlük yaşam problemleri bölümlerini içeren bilimsel başarı testi ve yaratıcı problem testi kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca, deney grubu öğrencilerinin sistematik yaratıcı problem çözme ile ilgili görüşleri hakkında veri toplamak için görüşme tekniğine yer verilmiştir. Verilerin analizi, SPSS 20 istatistik programı kullanılarak t testleri, betimsel istatistik ve içerik analizi ile yapılmıştır.Çalışmanın sonunda, bilimsel başarı testinin çoktan seçmeli kuramsal problemler dışındaki tüm testlerinde deney grubu lehine anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur. Bu bulgu, sistematik yaratıcı problem çözmenin, üst düzey düşünme becerilerini kullanmayı gerektiren çoktan seçmeli deneysel, çoktan seçmeli günlük yaşam ve açık uçlu kuramsal, deneysel ve günlük yaşam problemlerini çözme üzerinde olumlu etkisi olduğunu göstermiştir. Diğer bir veri toplama aracı olan yaratıcı problem testinden elde edilen bulgular, deney grubundaki öğrencilerin kontrol grubundaki öğrencilere kıyasla problemlere yaratıcı çözümler üretme konusundaki başarılarını önemli ölçüde geliştirdiklerini göstermiştir. Akademik başarı ve hatırlama düzeyi açısından gruplar karşılaştırıldıklarında deney grubu lehine anlamlı farklılık bulunmuştur.Çalışma, problemlere yaratıcı çözümler üretmek için sistematik bir yolun kullanılabilirliğini ve bu yolun farklı problem türlerini çözme üstündeki etkisini göstermesi açısından önemlidir.Anahtar Sözcükler: Sistematik Yaratıcı Problem Çözme, Kuramsal Problemler, Deneysel Problemler, Günlük Yaşam Problemleri, Yaratıcı Problemler, Işık.
