The sculpture, which is a part of human life with its material existence, has been a symbol of the society's emotions, thoughts and beliefs in a temporal and cultural manner. Until modernism, the concept of sculpture, which continues in this environment, has moved away from its traditional understanding after modernism and in search of different forms. Therefore, the reasons for the sculpture of people have changed with the changing world and living conditions. The sculpture was used extensively in all cultures because of its decorative characteristics as well as its own form. Sometimes the sculpture itself functions as a decorative object, and sometimes on the objects of use, it responds to the aesthetic and beauty needs of people. In this context, the sculpture was used as a decorative element in accordance with the tastes of people in interior and exterior spaces. Besides, decorative sculptures, which are an important subject of home decoration, have been found in all places where people live. Thanks to its imaginative and symbolic narrative, decorative sculptures have been used to decorate the place and beautify the environment with its aura. After the industrial revolution, the decline in the value of manual labor and the proliferation of the production of decorative objects with low artistic value made it easier to reach such objects. Within the framework of the possibilities provided by the industry, the sensation of art and especially of sculpture has shifted to a more mechanical element. Art Deco, Art Nouveau, which has disturbed some art circles from the point of view of art, has been reflexed with the movements like Art Nouveau and it is aimed to produce decorative objects with high aesthetic and artistic value. However, the effects of these currents have ended in a short time. Due to this, the decorative sculptures, which are a sign of status in the older ones, have now become ordinary objects. In this sense, the decorative sculptures, which have lost their value, have moved away from transferring any images and have been reduced to an ornament. In this study, the decorative aspect of the sculpture was taken into consideration and its position in human life, the objects used and the status of the sculptural elements in decorative objects at the point of responding to the aesthetic needs were focused.
