Dr. Osman ÇARDAKIn this study, the effects of creative drama on student achievment have beensurveyed in teaching ?Travelling Into Inner Building of Living Thing? unit ofScience Education course of sixth grade in primary education. In determining theeffects of creative drama, Science Achievement Test has been used.The study carried out in the first semester of 2005-2006 academic year inMeram county of Konya. The subjects of the study have consisted of the studentsselected randomly from sixth grade of Sare Özkaşıkçı with Pension primary school.The study has been carried on 25 students as control group and 25 studentsexperimental group, 50 students as whole.The study is limited to the cognitive domain of knowledge stage ofbehaviours about teaching Travelling Into Inner Building of Living Thing in ScienceEducation course and variables creative drama and tradational method are taken intoconsideration about the achievement of students. In research, control group, pre-testpost-test was utilized.The data are analized by using SPSS for Windows package programme.The results can be summarized and interpreted as follows:As a significiant difference is found between the means of achievementscores of experimental group of students taught with the creative drama and those ofcontrol group students taught with traditional method, creative drama in teaching isfound more effective than traditional method.When experimenteal and control group?s pre-test results are compared, nosignificiant difference is found. This means that the study is carried on students whoare nearly the same according to the both groups? knowledge level.When control group?s pre- and post-test results are compared, significiantdifference in favour of control group?s post-test is found.When experimental group?s pre- and post-test results are compared,significiant difference in favour of experimental group?s post-test is found.When both groups? post-test results are compared, there is a meaningfuldifference in favour of experimental group. This means that experimental grouptaught with the creative drama is more successful than the control group taught withtraditional method.Key Words: creative darama, traditional education, education, educationmethod.

Araştırmada yaratıcı dramanın etkisi araştırılırkenFen erişi testi kullanıldı.Araştırmanın deneklerini 2005-2006 öğretim yılı Konya ili Meram ilçesindebulunan Sare Özkaşıkçı Pansiyonlu lköğretim Okulu'na devam eden altıncı sınıföğrencileri arasından rasgele seçildi. Araştırma farklı şubelerden 25 öğrenci deneygrubunu ve 25 öğrenci kontrol grubunu oluşturmak üzere toplam 50 denek üzerindeyürütüldü.Araştırma Fen Bilgisi dersi ?Canlının ç Yapısına Yolculuk? ünitesininbilişsel alanın bilgi düzeyinde önceden belirlenmiş davranışlarla sınırlı tutulupöğrenci başarısında yaratıcı drama ve geleneksel öğretim değişkenleri ele alındı.Araştırmanın problemini test etmek için kontrol gruplu ön test-son test desenikullanıldı.Araştırmanın problemine ilişkin istatistiksel analizler SPSS for Windowspaket programında gerçekleştirildi.Araştırma sonuçlarından elde edilen bulgular şöyledir:Araştırmanın problemi olan ?Canlının ç Yapısına Yolculuk? ünitesininöğretiminde yaratıcı drama ile öğretimin uygulandığı deney grubu ile gelenekselöğretimin uygulandığı kontrol grubunun erişi puanları ortalamaları açısından anlamlıbir fark bulunduğundan, yaratıcı drama ile öğretimin daha etkili olduğu tespit edildi.Deney ve kontrol grubu ön test sonuçları karşılaştırıldığında anlamlı birfarklılık bulunmamıştır. Yani araştırma, seviyeleri denk olan sınıflarda yapıldı.Kontrol grubunun ön test-son test sonuçları karşılaştırıldığında kontrolgrubunun son testi lehine anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edildi.Deney grubunun ön test-son test sonuçları karşılaştırıldığında deneygrubunun son testi lehine anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edildi.Deney ve kontrol grubu son test sonuçları karşılaştırıldığında deney grubulehine anlamlı bir farklılık bulundu. Yani son testte yaratıcı drama ile öğretimyapılan deney grubu, geleneksel öğretim yapılan kontrol grubuna göre daha başarılıolduğu tespit edildi.Anahtar Kelimeler: Yaratıcı drama, geleneksel öğretim, eğitim, öğretimyöntemi.
