At the beginning of the XVI century, the peoples of Iran and Central Asia had their most critical period. Almost the same period, the dynasties, which appeared on the stage of history, formed separate states instead of the Timurid state. When the Shaybani Khan was defeated by the Safavids, the Uzbeks' state was deeply shaken and became available for division. Shah Ismail also appointed the governors of Mawarannahr people did not want to accept. A new dynasty, that is, the Arabshahs (Yadigars), who came from the same lineage as the Shaybanians, but from a separate branch, established a khanate in Khwarezm. While the heirs of the Shaybanians ruled the Khanate of Bukhara, the Arabshahs ruled the Khanate of Khiva. Although the Khiva Khanate initially showed a confrontational attitude towards the Safavids, it changed its policy with Iran against the pressure of the Shaybanians who began to strengthen later and turned to close relations with them. The Safavid State turned this into an opportunity and stood by the Khiva Khanate against the Bukhara Khanate in order to prevent the danger of these two khanates. Thus, while the confrontational relations between the Iranian shahs and Khiva khans continued, diplomatic relations were also established when appropriate. Besides, when the Khiva khans had the opportunity, they did not hesitate to raid the northeastern borders of Iran and the shahs of Iran did not hesitate to seize the land of the khanate.During the reign of Shah II Abbas (1642-1666), Iran had left behind its most brilliant period, and during the periods that started with Ebulgazi Khan and ended with Anusha Khan, the Khiva Khanate had its most powerful period. In 1694, the collapse process began in both states. Towards the end of the 1730s, both the Safavids and the Arabshahs became involved in history.During the reign of Nader Shah (1736-1747), Iran dominated almost all of Central Asia.
