The history of Mehter which is known as the oldest military Band of the world depends upon the centuries before Christ and Middle East. It is known that the musical instruments named ?Kübürge? and ?Tuğ (horsetail)? are mentioned in the inscriptions of Orkhon that were written in the 8th century and is the oldest written source of Turk History. It is known that limited entitles for constituting Mehter had given to Grand Viziers, Viziers who had taken office in either adminisrative or military state organization and to the people who had equal authority and to Grand-Governors and Governers of the Sanjaks at diiferent stratums.
