In this study, the effect of use of the multiple intelligence theory to the perception of participation in classroom activities and the attitudes towards course of students while teaching ?Light and Sound? unit which is included 4th grade Science and Technology course was investigated. In the research pre and post test with control group model was used.The research was made in 2008?2009 education year on totaly 34 pupils attending 4/A and 4/B classes in Aydın-Karpuzlu-Tekeler Primary School. The experimental and control groups were chosen randomly. While in the experimental group teaching process was supported by multiple intelligences theory activities, in control group lecture and socratic method was applied.In the research, quantitative data was used in an experimental way. As the way of collecting data attitude scale, ?Activitiy in Class Scale for Children? and ?Areas of Multiple Intelligence Inventory? were used. The areas of multiple intelligence inventory was applied at the beginning of the research only on the students in experimental group to identify the areas of multiple intelligence on which pupils are dominant. At the beginning of the research, attitude scale and ?Activitiy in Class Scale for Children? were applied to both of the groups as pre test. Then, during the following 5 weeks in the experimental group teaching process was supported by the multiple intelligence theory activities, but in the control group lecture and socratic method was used. In order to analyze the changes at the end of the research, attitude scale and ?Activitiy in Class Scale for Children? were applied to both of the groups as post test.In the research, for the analysis of quantitative data, SPSS 13 program was used. The data was analyzed by comparing t-test. The results were evaluated .01 signifiance level.At the end of the study, according to the results obtained, it is determined that there is a significant positive difference on perception of participation in classroom activities and attitudes towards course of students in the experimental group studied with multiple intelligence theory supported teaching activities. As the result of research, it is found that attitude levels towards course and perception of participation in classroom activities of students in experimental group where multiple intelligence theory supported teaching activities were applied, are higher than those of the students in control group where lecture and socratic method was used. Also it is observed that from the areas of multiple intelligence, naturalist intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, spatial intelligence and linguistic intelligence of the students are highly developed, while logical-mathematical intelligence, bodily-kinestetic intelligence and intrapersonel intelligence of the students are less developed.

Bu çalışmada, İlköğretim dördüncü sınıf Fen ve Teknoloji dersinde yer alan ?Işık ve Ses? ünitesinin çoklu zekâ kuramı ile öğretiminin öğrencilerin derse yönelik tutumlarına ve sınıf içi etkinliklere katılım algısına etkisi araştırılmıştır. Araştırmada kontrol gruplu ön test- son test modeli kullanılmıştır.Araştırma, 2008?2009 eğitim-öğretim yılında, Aydın ili Karpuzlu ilçesi Tekeler İlköğretim Okulu'nun 4/A ve 4/B sınıfında okuyan toplam 34 öğrenci üzerinde yapılmıştır. Gruplar kolaylık ilkesine göre deney ve kontrol grubu olarak atanmıştır. Deney grubunda çoklu zekâ kuramı etkinlikleriyle destekli öğretim yapılırken, kontrol grubunda düz anlatım ve soru-cevap yöntemi uygulanmıştır.Araştırmada nicel veriler deneysel yöntemle kullanılmıştır. Bilgi toplama aracı olarak tutum ölçeği, ?Çocuklar İçin Sınıf İçi Etkinlik Ölçeği? ve ?Çoklu Zekâ Alanları Envanteri? kullanılmıştır. Çoklu Zekâ Alanları Envanteri, öğrencilerin baskın olduğu çoklu zekâ alanlarını belirlemek amacıyla araştırmanın başında, sadece deney grubundaki öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın başında her iki gruptaki öğrencilere ön test olarak, tutum ölçeği ve ?Çocuklar İçin Sınıf İçi Etkinlik Ölçeği? uygulanmıştır. Daha sonra 5 hafta boyunca deney grubuna çoklu zekâ kuramına dayalı öğretim, kontrol grubuna ise düz anlatım ve soru-cevap yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın hemen bitiminde meydana gelen değişiklikleri analiz edebilmek için her iki gruba da tutum ölçeği ve ?Çocuklar İçin Sınıf İçi Etkinlik Ölçeği? son test olarak uygulanmıştır.Araştırmada nicel verilerin analizinde SPSS 13 istatistik paket programı kullanılmıştır. Veriler karşılaştırmalı t testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Sonuçlar .01 anlamlılık düzeyinde değerlendirilmiştir.Araştırmanın sonunda elde edilen bulgulara göre, çoklu zekâ kuramı destekli etkinliklerin uygulandığı deney grubundaki öğrencilerin derse yönelik tutumları ve sınıf içi etkinliklere katılım algısında olumlu yönde anlamlı bir farklılaşma saptanmıştır. Çoklu zekâ kuramı destekli etkinliklerin uygulandığı deney grubu öğrencilerinin sınıf içi etkinliklere katılım algısı ve derse yönelik tutum düzeyleri, düz anlatım ve soru-cevap yönteminin uygulandığı kontrol grubu öğrencilerininkine göre yüksek bulunmuştur. Deney grubu öğrencilerinin çoklu zekâ alanlarından doğacı zekâ, sosyal-kişilerarası zekâ, görsel-uzamsal zekâ ve sözel-dilbilimsel zekâlarının gelişmiş; mantıksal-matematiksel zekâ, bedensel-kinestetik zekâ ve içsel-özedönük zekâlarının az gelişmiş olduğu görülmüştür.
