It has attracted attention that significant increase in the use of deep learning algorithms recently. Convolutional neural network (CNN) from deep learning models is frequently used in applications, particularly in image processing to distinguish significant objects such as people and vehicles from other objects. After ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Competition (ILSVRC) at 2012, usage of CNNs in applications has become notably widespread. Image processing process has been significantly reduced with the development of image processing equipment. Thanks to these developments, the performance of studies on deep learning have increased. Object detection has been quite difficult since bird's eye view images are taken by drone from different altitudes. In this study, a system has developed to detection objects (human, automobiles, bicycles and motorcycles) in video taken by drones. A dataset consisting of a bird's eye images taken from different altitudes has prepared in order to the training and testing of the neural network. In the study, the RetinaNet model, in which uses weights of Residual Networks (ResNet-50) was the first in the ImageNet competition in 2015, has preferred. Google Colabratory, the open source platform of Google, which offers Nvidia Tesla K80 GPU support to its users, is used to train the neural network. In this platform, training and testing procedures of the neural network have completed quickly. In the trained model, performance comparison is made by using different threshold values for objects detection process. According to results from this thesis study, f1 score value in specified objects detection is determined as 0.906 by using of 0.4 threshold value.
