According to this aim, drama techniques in the topic of `Dress Shop` in the unit of `Shopping` were carried out to the experiment group, and traditional teaching methods were used in the control group. In this study, which is a descriptive and experimental master's thesis, the usage of drama techniques in the Composition (Verbal and Written Narration in Russian) class were tried to be explained; and it is aimed to answer the question, `Is there a significant difference between the learning level of control and experiment group?` The study was carried out with 24 students in 2nd class at the department of Russian Language and Literature, Istanbul University, 2013-2014 academic year. One week after the experiment, a performance test was carried on the students as a final test. The data is collected with the performance test, developed by the researcher. As a result of the experiment, it was found out that the success level of the experiment group, - on which the drama techniques were used, - was statistically higher than the control group, - on which the traditional teaching methods were used. With this result, the study reveals out that the drama techniques effect student's success level in a positive way.
