Purpose: This study was carried out to show whether there was a difference between the students who took preschool education and who did not in towards undesirable behaviours in the classroom. It was aimed to grasp the case by basing upon the opinions of the primary school first-grade teachers among various variables. Method: In this study, parallel design of mixed method was used. Developed by the researcher to collect data in the study, a scale, `Undesirable Behaviours Determination Scale for Pre-School and Non-Pre-School Students` intended for first-grade teachers was used for the quantitative section, and a semi-structured interview form was employed for its qualitative section. Quantitative sample of the study consisted of 123 first grade teachers working in 27 primary schools in Yakutiye, Erzurum and 100 first grade teachers teaching in 22 primary schools in Palandöken, Erzurum. Getting feedbacks through the quantitative scales for the qualitative section, 10 voluntary first-grade teachers were interviewed with a semi-structured interview. Findings: Evaluating the quantitative results, it was observed that while the seniority and the alma mater of the teacher had a positive difference, the students who took pre-school education showed undesirable behaviours such as dominance, over-talking, walking around, compliance problem in the qualitative results. The students who did not take preschool education were observed to have a compliance problem, wrong feeding habits and wrong toilet habits Result: In quantitative results, the seniority of teachers and the schools from which they graduated were found to be significant variables. In qualitative results, it was concluded that the undesirable behaviours, such as walking around and over-talking, of the students who took preschool education, was the consequence of the order of the educational environment. It was also concluded that the undesirable behaviours, such as wrong toilet habits and compliance problem, of the students who did not take preschool education were the consequence of their familial backgrounds. Amaç: Bu çalışma okul öncesi eğitimi alan ve almayan öğrencilerin sınıfta istenmeyen davranış gösterme durumlarının bir farklılık gösterip göstermediklerinin saptanması amacıyla yapılmıştır. Durumun çeşitli değişkenlere göre ilkokul 1. sınıf öğretmenlerinin görüşlerine dayanılarak anlaşılması amaçlanmıştır.Yöntem: Bu araştırmada karma yöntemin paralel deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada verileri toplamak amacıyla araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen nicel boyutta 1. sınıf öğretmenlerine yönelik `Okul Öncesi Eğitimi Alan ve Almayan Öğrenciler İçin İstenmeyen Davranış Belirleme Ölçeği` ve nitel boyutta yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel boyutundaki evreni 2016-2017 öğretim yılında Erzurum ili Merkez Yakutiye İlçesinde bulunan 27 ilkokulda görev yapan 123 ve Palandöken ilçesinde bulunan 22 ilkokulda görev yapan 100 tane 1. sınıf öğretmeninden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın nitel boyutunda ölçekler aracılığıyla dönüt alınarak, gönüllü olan 10 tane 1. sınıf okutan öğretmenle yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme yapılmıştır.Bulgular: Nicel bulgulara bakıldığında öğretmenin kıdemi ve mezun olduğu okul türünün olumlu fark ortaya koyduğu görülürken, nitel bulgularda okul öncesi eğitim alan öğrencilerde en çok sınıfta izinsiz dolaşma, baskın rol oynama, sürekli konuşma, uyum sorunu, oyun oynama isteği istenmeyen davranışları tespit edilmiştir. Okul öncesi eğitim almayan öğrencilerde ise yanlış tuvalet alışkanlığı, uyum sorunu, yanlış beslenme alışkanlığı istenmeyen davranışları tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç: Nicel sonuçlarda; öğretmenin kıdemi ve mezun olduğu okul türü önemli bir değişken olarak tespit edilmiştir. Nitel sonuçlarda okul öncesi eğitimi alan öğrencilerin izinsiz dolaşma, sürekli konuşma gibi istenmeyen davranışlarının eğitim ortamının düzeninden kaynaklandığı sonucu elde edilmiştir. Okul öncesi eğitimi almayan öğrencilerin yanlış tuvalet alışkanlığı, uyum sorunu gibi istenmeyen davranışlarının aileden kaynaklandığı sonucuna varılmıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Okul öncesi eğitim, İlkokul eğitimi, İstenmeyen davranışlar.
