Along with the scientific developments in the Renaissance period, Aristotle's science which was embraced strictly by scholastic thinkers began to be falsified. Besides, the pioneer of the Protestant Reform Martin Luther refused Aristotelian scholastic theology by criticizing it rigorously. Thus, the Renaissance has been thought of, most of the time, as an era that Aristotle's impact decreased. However, thanks to Schmitt and Kristeller, we understand that Aristotelianism had such a prepotency that could compete with the period's most influential understandings such as Humanism and Platonism. Especially in the medicine, law, theology fields of the universities, Aristotle's and his commentators' works were still being used as sources. Not only at the universities but also within the communities, the disciplines of Nicomachean Ethics drew a lot of interest with regards to its easiness to learn. At this point, humanists provided the most significant advantage with the Renaissance Aristotelianism. They brought a new understanding of translation as they found inaccurate, deficient, and erroneous the philosophical texts that scholastic philosophers translated into Latin. In this way, the most important works of Greek and Roman philosophy were translated into Latin and even some works into local languages from their original language. Humanists included opinions of Ancient Greek and Byzantine commentators in the new translations because they thought that Aristotle was apprehended by a limited point of view and medieval thinkers could not get to the core of the philosopher. Thanks to these renewals, the new concepts began to be found in Aristotle with the viewpoint changes.England could not become a country that philosophical developments eventuated as in Italy and Germany in the sixteenth century due to the political turmoils and reform of the social order. For that reason, the influence of humanism began to appear later than the other countries on the continent. Nevertheless, England was one of the countries that Aristotelianism continued. John Case was the most important Aristotelianist with his philosophy which he developed in eclectic Aristotelianism. Quite an interest in Aristotelian virtue ethics is clearly noticed in the works of Shakespeare, one of the symbol names of the Renaissance period, as well. When we consider the play Hamlet, besides one of the fundamental aspects of the Aristotelian ethics virtue's situation of being golden mean and achievement of virtue through habit; virtues such as courage, justice, friendship, temperance have been examined with an Aristotelian perspective.Key Words: Aristotelianism, Renaissance Philosophy, Ethics, Hamlet, Shakespeare.

Yalnızca üniversitelerde değil öğrenilmesinin kolay olması bakımından toplumlar içerisinde Nikomakhos'a Etik'in öğretileri oldukça ilgi görmüştür.
