The subject of diffusion of neolithic cultures are every time discussed and kept its importance facing us due to either insufficiency of foundings received and rarity of settlement. Hence, when we talk about the concept of neolithicism it is assumed to be talked about the factors of style of the new life which is called ?Neolithic package?. Intensively at this age comb-pressed ?impressed? pottery is found in Western Mediterranean, furthermore is a pottery group found in ?Neolithic package? at the settlements in East Mediterranean coasts and North Africa. To make a cultural region definition being related with origin and expansion of that pottery it is again placed on the agenda after the Mezraa-Teleilat excavation within the borders of Birecik of Şanlıurfa city and new horizons have been added to the discussions that is concerning the role of Fırat catchment. The reason of that is the situation arised of intensively finding the comb-pressed ?impressed? pottery in that excavations. The subjects that whether ?is to be talked about two different cultural regions or an expansion originated from there? concerning that pottery, light the inquiries which need to be solved.Dwelled upon on the subject described above with the doctoral thesis study of ?The Definition and Distrubution of Mezraa-Teleilat Comb-Pressed Pottery ? and furthermore talked about the attributes of settlements the pottery groups are seen in other regions Besides the role in the settlement of this pottery group, the relation with other foundling groups that is seen together with them constitutes also another topic emphasized within the context of thesis study. Again, a study have been established in which a technological comparion also been made with Mezraa-Teleilat samples and comb-pressed ?impressed? finds found in other settlements. The said doctoral thesis study, beside giving a new view to the subject from the problematic point with these features carries weight also because of making evaluation in detail.
