The aim of this research is to determine the attitudes of higher education students who will become health professionals of the future towards the environment and disasters, to determine whether their thoughts on these issues differ according to demographic variables and to question the relationship between the concepts both statistically and conceptually. The study was carried out using the relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods. The population of the study consists of 2760 students studying at Bingol University Faculty of Health Sciences (832) and Vocational School of Health Services (1928) in 2018-2019 academic year. It is aimed to reach at least half the participants in order to represent the students in each class during the data collection. The research was carried out with the participation of 922 students using easy sampling method. The data collection tool used in the research consists of three parts. The first part is the 11-item Personal Information Form developed by the researcher, the second part is the 21-item Environmental Attitude Scale developed by Şama (2003) and the third part is the 23-item Disaster Attitude Scale developed by Türkan and Kılıç (2017). The data obtained from the study were obtained by using SPSS 22 statistical package program. Descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, average and standard deviation were used in order to indicate personal information. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to determine whether the data were normally distributed or not. Therefore, Mann Whitney-U, Kruskal Wallis-H and Spearman Correlation nonparametric tests were used. According to the research findings, the environmental attitudes of university students were; a statistically significant difference between faculty, gender, class, education and department variable however, there were no differences according to age and region. In addition, students' environmental attitudes were higher than average in both general and sensitivity dimensions. In addition, students' disasters their attitudes; There was a statistically significant difference between faculty, department, gender, class, region, education, disaster experience and loss of relatives in disasters, but no statistically significant difference according to age variable. In the study, the relationship between university students' attitudes towards the environment and disasters was examined and there was a positive low-level relationship between affective attitudes towards disasters and environmental sensitivity (,238*) and population problems (,178*). It was observed that. However, when students' attitudes towards the environment and disasters were analyzed as one dimension, no significant relationship was found between them. This shows that there is not a statistically acceptable strong relationship between the concepts in terms of attitude.
