Regional development is one of the most important concepts that emerged in the globalized and growing world economies in the last century. Regional imbalances that emerge with growing economies are the main problems faced by developed and developing countries. Many studies have been conducted to reduce these imbalances and many important concepts have emerged. The most important of these is the concept of clustering. The cluster that, Operating in the same or related business lines, showing spatial closeness with each other and at the same time cooperating and competing enterprises and brings together the firms and institutions that support them, are also the regions that give advantage to the firms in global competition conditions. Particularly after the 1960s, cluster studies, which became very popular, are of great importance to reduce regional development disparities with companies, to reveal their potential and to increase global competitiveness.Textile is a sector that plays an important role especially in the development of developing countries. Within the textile sector manufacturing industry; is in the first place in employment, production and export. The aim of the study is it is the examine the clustering structure in NUTS Level 2 regions and to the textile sector in Turkey is to uncover the structure of the cluster. In this study, specialization analysis was performed by using MAR (Location Quotient) externality to reveal the current status of the cluster as a method. Conducting the study through a sector is among the limitations of the study. The results of analiysis obtained from level 2 regions in Turkey reveal the existence of the cluster structure. However, the clustering structure was strong in some regions and low in others. In addition, it is observed that there is no clustering in textile sector in some regions.
