Özet

This thesis consists of six basic chapters. In introduction, the studies conducted in Euclidean space that underlies our study are mentioned and a short review of literature is given. In the second chapter, the fundamental concepts about curves and manifolds in 3-dimensional Minkowski space are expressed. The third, fourth and fifth chapters are the original part of our study. In the third chapter, the curvature and the torsion of the transversal intersection curve of a spacelike and a timelike surface are calculated. Also, the new characterizations of the intersection curve are obtained by giving some theorems about its geodesic curvature and geodesic torsion. In the fourth chapter, the curvature and the torsion of the transversal intersection curve of timelike surfaces are calculated. and new characterizations of the intersection curve are obtained. In the fifth chapter, the intersection curve of some special surfaces is examined. Therefore, theorems and results about the intersection curve's curvature, torsion, geodesic curvature and geodesic torsion are obtained. Further, some examples about this special surfaces are given. The last chapter consists of conclusions and recommendations.
