Introduction: Alcohol is defined as the oldest known drug in human history that affects the level of consciousness, mood, cognitive, perceptual processes or behaviors. The risk is the likelihood of events that may adversely affect the outcome. In our study, we investigated whether there is a significant relationship between alcohol use frequency, environmental-familial risk factors and gender differences in university students.Aim: In this study, it was aimed to investigate whether there is a significant difference between alcohol use frequency, environmental-familial risk factors and gender differences, alcohol use frequency, environmental-familial risk factors and gender differences according to some sociodemographic variables in university students.Materials and Method: Personal Information Form, Michigan Alcoholism Screening Test and Cage Test were used in the study. The data obtained by the measurement tool used were analyzed with statistical techniques appropriate for the sub-objectives. The data obtained from the participant scales were coded and transferred to a computer environment using statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) 11.5 windows package program and subjected to statistical processing. Results: The mean of the scores obtained from the Michigan Alcoholism Screening Test (x ̅ = 3.75) appears to be the average of the CAGE scale scores (x ̅ = .31). The maximum score (20) from the Michigan Alcoholism Screening Test was the maximum score of the CAGE scale (4). The minimum score (0) in the Michigan Alcoholism Screening Test was the minimum score of the CAGE scale (0). The standard deviation from the Michigan Alcoholism Screening Test (5.39) was the standard deviation of the CAGE scale (.76).Conclusion: The Michigan Alcoholism Screening test score was also seen to increase the score of the residual CAGE test. It was seen that males scored higher than women in Alcoholism Screening Test and CAGE test. Perceived parental attitudes were found to be high in alcoholism and in CAGE in those without love. Alcohol use has also been found to be high for use in alcohol-intentionally comfortable sleep.Key Words: Alcohol Use, Environmental-Family Risk Factors.

Katılımcılara uygulanan ölçeklerden elde edilen veriler kodlanarak, SPSS (Statistical Package For Social Sciences) 11,5 windows paket programı kullanılarak bilgisayar ortamına aktarılmış ve istatistiksel işlemlere tabi tutulmuştur.
