Özet

The greatest comfort that the Internet offers to people is undoubtedly the ability to access every bit of information without exhausting. Mankind has not lagged about moving this comfort to their social lives. Nowadays, as a result of the ease of internet access, social media has also settled down in our life. This has become so, that even real relations can now be negatively affected. The main group defined as risk group at this point is the adolescents who are able to adapt more quickly than adults. The aim of this research is to investigate what these negativities are, rather than to look at the backgrounds of the adolescents who have passed through the other changes. The different personality traits that are thought to be among these reasons are handled according to the five factor theory. Thus, it is thought that it will be possible to facilitate the identification of the students who are at risk of developing negative attitudes in using social media, and to contribute to the efforts to improve the positive attitude of these young people to social media. Keywords: Social Media, Personality, Internet.
