The purpose of this study is to introduce the teacher and students'opinions about the secondary information technologies and software course. Research sample includes 691 5th and 6th class students and 28 IT teachers among 11 secondary schools which are randomly selected in Altındağ, Çankaya, Etimesgut, Keçiören, Mamak and Yenimahalle districts. This study performed in survey model consists of both quantitative and qualitative data. During gathering research data, researcher has used `The form determining student consideration related to the ITS course` and `The form determining teacher consideration related to the ITS course`, respectively. During the analysis of the quantitative data, frequency, percentage, T-test for independent groups, one-way variance analysis, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis H tests are performed. Content analysis is performed for the qualitative data. As a result of the analysis studies performed; the standard of `problem solving, programming and creative product development` can be reached by the students at very low level with respect to the other standards and they think more time is necessary for this issue. Additionally, they like `multi-media applications` mostly and dislike `hardware`. They prefer research and practice via computers instead of expressions. Both the teachers and the students expect a written-format lecture notes. For the evaluation method, written exams and performance evaluation are used mostly. There is a significant difference of opinions among the students with respect to the gender and computer utilization skills and among the teachers with respect to the gender. It has become clear that there is a significant difference between student opinions and teacher opinions with respect to the learning and teaching process of ITS course. In accordance with the results yielded, suggestions for the applicator and researcher are provided.
