Özet

In this study natural gas, which is cheaper and environmentally friendlier than other energy resources has been examined. Aim of this study is; to analyze the main socio-economic factors which affect natural gas demand of households who lives in Osmaniye. In order to reach this aim; Logistic model has been used to forecast natural gas demand. In the first part of the study; some general information is given about natural-gas as an energy resource. In the second part; structure of the natural-gas market in the World and in Turkey is analyzed and the past studies are included. In the first section of the third part; materials and the methodology that is used in this research, universe and the sample size, designing of the survey. In the second section of the third part; some information has been given about natural-gas preferences of households. In the third section of the third part; heating system preferences analyzed according to; demographic factors, features of the housing and the usage of natural-gas. Finally; in the fourth section of the third part of this study; factors that affect heating system preferences has been examined by using the Logistic model. These factors are number of flats in housing, existence of air pollution, average annual expense and the level of knowledge about natural-gas as an energy resource.
