Özet

Throughout history, economic crises have not only affected economic systems but also affected all sections of society. Many socioeconomic phenomena, from workers to students, from crime rates to poverty, from family life to income distribution, have been affected by crises. In this study, although it is not possible to examine all these socioeconomic effects individually, the impact of crises on the concepts of unemployment, crime and suicide was examined. As a result of the study conducted with the help of Granger Causality Analysis, a negative causality relationship was found between economic crisis and unemployment. This finding, which supports many studies in the literature, has been associated with the phenomenon of jobless growth. The hypothesis that the unemployment variable is the Granger cause of the suicide variable has been confirmed by the analysis. Although the hypothesis that the phenomenon of crime is reflected through unemployment has not been confirmed, a positive causality relationship has emerged with the economic crises. Due to the lack of data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute and the fact that other studies are up to date, poverty data could not be reached. This condition is considered a working constraint. Researchers who will conduct a similar study are expected to provide more ideal results if they reach or derive poverty data.

Ekonomik krizler tarih boyunca sadece ekonomik sistemleri etkisi altına almakla kalmamış aynı zamanda toplumun her kesimine etki etmiştir.
