Özet

One of the main problems of today's energy needs and the need to remedy the ecological problems created. Dams built for hydroelectric power generation and Hydroelectric Power Plants with them the many environmental, urban and cultural impact was to the. In this context, the usefulness of the production of hydroelectric power in the world of science and public debate. Environmental impacts caused by hydroelectric power plants; important historical and cultural areas such as Allianoi, Zeugma, Hasankeyf are droped under water, the size of discussion differs. The focus of the research in the effects of the hydro-electric plants environment, urban life and culture, by determining the general effects of hydroelectric power plants with the deductive method, investigated the case of the Ilisu Dam Hasankeyf.Research consists of two main parts. The first section: the vital importance of water in nature and use of energy for the production process, caused by hydroelectric power plants of environmental, urban and cultural impacts were examined. In the second part which will be established on the Tigris River, the Ilisu Dam and Hydroelectric Power Plant which will drop Hasankeyf under water and leaving the Tigris Valley and Hasankeyf will result in environmental, urban and cultural effects of the relevant academic studies, legislation, public debate, scientific reports , minutes of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and about the project prepared a Resettlement Action Plan and Environmental Impact Assessment reports are discussed using.
