Disability has continued its existence as a big problem in all societies throughout history. There is a need for some information on people with disabilities in terms of being taken part in society and measures to be taken for this. The factors causing disability with the existing number and type of disability people in Turkey can be considered as priority needed information. However, there is not enough scientific data in the literature in this regard. The existence of disability people as independent individuals in society can be possible by their participating in social life with equal rights. One of the only keys to this participation is to work. Working is a fundamental human right. In order for people with disabilities to exist within their working life, social policies such as facilitating access to necessary training, increasing the quota of disability by 3% in the employment policy, making the necessary arrangements so that they can work in the direction of their education and providing vocational rehabilitation services are extremely important. In addition to these policies, it is also of great importance to the establishment of appropriate conditions for the recruitment of career professionals as a result of the training of people with disabilities. In this study, the concepts of disability and career professions, which are perceived as contradictory concepts, will be examined at the same time as the consequences of differentiation and the effect of glass ceiling. In addition, the problems faced by people with disabilities in taking career professions will be tried to be revealed. In this study, we will mainly focus on the reflection of the problem on people with physical disabilities.
