The aim of this study is to determine the success, attitude and opinion of 6. grade students about STEM activity that related to `motion and force ünit`. Mixed research method was used in the study. Study is made with 6. Grade students in a public school in Hakkari in First Term of 2018 – 2019 Academic Year . Study was lasted 7 (seven ) weeks. The research consisted of two groups as experimental and control group and experiment is made with 40 students in totals ( experiment group n= 20, 14 girls 6 boys ; control group n= 20 12 girls , 8 boys ). STEM activities are made with students in experiment group according to STEM plan. This activities were done also with control groups according to annual plans. The validity and reliability of the Academic Achievements Tests that apllıed on students in experiment and control group is determined and Cronbach Alfa value is determined as 0.84. Academic Achievement Tests were conducted as a pre-post test in both groups. In addition, STEM Attitude Scale was applied to both groups as pre-post test. The validity and reliability of the STEM Attitude Scale has been tested. The Cronbach alpha value was found as 0.905. The Student Opinion Questionnaire was applied to the students in the experimental group after STEM activities. The products made with the Grade Scoring Scale prepared by her were evaluated. Quantitative data of the study were analyzed by statistical package program and the qualitative data were analyzed by content analysis. As a result of the study, it was observed that there was a positive development for STEM activities in the success, attitude and opinions of the experimental group.

Bu çalışmanın amacı ortaokul altıncı sınıf öğrencilerinin `Kuvvet ve Hareket Ünitesi` ile ilgili yapılan STEM etkinliklerine karşı başarı, tutum ve görüşlerini belirlemektir. Çalışmada karma araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma 2018-2019 Eğitim Öğretim yılının birinci döneminde Hakkâri'de bulunan bir devlet okulundaki ortaokul altıncı sınıf öğrencileri ile yapılmıştır. Çalışma 7 hafta sürmüştür. Araştırma deney ve kontrol grubu olmak üzere iki gruptan oluşmuş ve toplam 40 öğrenciye (deney grubu n=20, 14 kız, 6 erkek; kontrol grubu n=20, 12 kız, 8 erkek) uygulanmıştır. Deney grubundaki öğrenciler ile STEM ders planına göre STEM etkinlikleri yapılmıştır. Kontrol grubundaki öğrencilere ise yıllık planda yer alan plana göre ders işlenmiştir. Deney ve kontrol grubundaki öğrencilere uygulanacak olan Akademik Başarı Testi' nin geçerlik ve güvenirliliği belirlenmiş ve Cronbach alfa değeri 0.84 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Akademik Başarı Testleri her iki gruba da ön-son test olarak yapılmıştır. Ayrıca her iki gruba da STEM Tutum Ölçeği ön-son test olarak uygulanmıştır. STEM Tutum Ölçeği' nin geçerliliği ve güvenirliği test edilmiş, Cronbach alfa değeri 0.905 olarak bulunmuştur. Öğrenci Görüş Anketi ise STEM etkinliklerinden sonra deney grubundaki öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Her STEM etkinliklerinden sonra ise araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan Dereceli Puanlama Ölçeği ile yapılan ürünler değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın nicel verileri istatistik paket programı ile nitel verileri ise içerik analizi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda deney grubunun başarı, tutum ve görüşlerinde STEM etkinliklerine yönelik olumlu bir gelişme olduğu gözlenmiştir.
