Today percent 26 of the fuel generated annually is consumed by transportation infrastructure and approximately all this infrastructure makes use of fossil fuels. Percent 11 of the global CO2 emissions result from individual uses on the roads. The existing CO2 intensity in the atmosphere is 286 ppm and this figure increases 2 ppm each year. It is predicted that under normal conditions this figure could reach up to 700 ppm by 2100 in certain regions.Decreasing the CO2 emission to lower levels through radical changes in fossil fuels is a requirement. Existing manufacturers should be compelled to new solutions that shall enable efficient fuel consumption through new limitations on CO2 emissions The most significant factor to support such efforts is popularizing individual use of electric vehicles. This thesis focuses on three main points. The first one is finding electrical engineering solutions for charge infrastructure. Second point is billing and measurement solutions for end users. The third point is to evaluate the impacts of charging processes of electric vehicles on the electric grid. The thesis documents various inventions and concepts developed within this area.
