In this study, the relationship of the fourth and fifth grade primary school students' learning styles with various variances. It has been analyzed whether the points that students get in perceptual learning scale differ according to various demographic qualities; and this study has been done in terms of visual, audial, tactual and kinesthetic sub-dimension. In the end, the most dominant sub-dimension and the relationship of sub-dimensions with one another has been examined. This study, carried out in the 2011-2012 academic year, is a quantitative study and in the category of relational screening model among general screening models. The sample of the study was formed by 1671 primary school students who were randomly chosen in the Counties of Beyoğlu, Eyüp, Fatih and Sultangazi in the European side of Istanbul. In the study, Perceptual Learning Styles Scale and personal information form were used in order to collect data. In the analysis of data, besides descriptive statistical processes; Independent Group T-Test, One-Way Variance Analysis (ANOVA), Pearson Correlation Coefficient and also when needed Post-Hoc Techniques (Tamhane's T2 and LSD) were used. In all statistical processes, at least 0.05 meaningfulness level was sought. In the results of the study, fifth grade students are more kinesthetic than fourth grade students while any meaningful difference in average points of visual, audial and tactual dimensions was not found statistically in terms of the variance of class. When the variance of gender is considered, it has been concluded that female students have higher average points in all sub-dimensions.As regards to the county where education takes place, a meaningful relationship was seen statistically in tactual and kinesthetic dimensions. Learning style average points of the students who attended pre-school are higher than the students who didn't attend in all sub-dimensions. A statistically meaningful relationship was seen between the number of siblings, duration of study time and all sub-dimensions. As a result of statistical processes done with parents' education level and sub-dimensions, a meaningful relationship was not found statistically between fathers' education level and students' average tactual points, yet other processes gave meaningful results statistically. It was seen that there is a statistically meaningful relationship in students' Maths, Turkish, Science and Technology and English points with visual, audial, tactual and kinesthetic sub-dimension average points; and the determination of that relationship was done with Post-Hoc methods. While visual dimension has the highest score, kinesthetic dimension has the lowest score. Lastly, the relationship among sub-dimensions was analyzed and it was seen that the strongest relationship is between kinesthetic average point and tactual average point, and that the weakest relationship is between kinesthetic average point and visual average point.Key words: Primary school, 4th and 5th grade, Perceptual learning style, Visual, Audial, Tactual, Kinesthetic.
