Sîbeveyhi's work called al-Kitâb is one of the most basic works on Arabic language grammar. Although various works on the Arabic language were written after Sîbeveyhi, methodological problems were ignored for a long time. With Ibnu's-Serrac, a new process started in the grammatical studies of Arabic language in the context of solving this problem. Ibnu's-Serrâc wrote his work called al-Usûl by subjecting the grammatical subjects of Arabic language, which were mixed in al-Kitâb, to a new classification. Yâkût al-Hamevî's `Nahiv science of Ibnu's-Serrâc was mad (scattered). His saying, `It was Ibnu's-Serrâc who made him smart` is very meaningful in this context. With the influence of Ibnu's-Serrâc teachers and the contribution of the science of logic, he also suggests a new method in the field of nahiv in his work named al-Usûl. With the influence of the logic lessons he took from Ibnu's-Serrâc Fârâbi, his perspective on the science of nahiv changed and he dealt with the issues with a unique method. Ibnu's-Serrâc attached great importance to the method of sema and used poetry a lot as a witness since he was also a poet. He made a total of 463 couplets from poetry, 325 verses from the Quran, 12 proverbs and only two of the hadith. In the method of comparison, Ibnu's-Serrâc also took a strict attitude like the Basra school, and stated that comparisons would be made to the words heard only from Arab Bedouins, whose purity was trusted. As a matter of fact, he emphasized that it is not permissible to compare the words that are not heard from the Arabs whose purity is trusted and that it will cause errors in the grammar of the language if it is compared to the words that are not heard from Arabs.Considering the period in which Ibnu's-Serrâc lived, it is understood that this study was the first and influenced the language scholars who came after him. The arrangement and order of the subjects in the author's work called al-Usûl is similar to the grammatical works of the Arabic language written today.
