In the literature, at the compounds obtained as a result of the addition of Cu to compound of LaMnO3 (LMO), it could not be proved what valance of Cu ions in perovskite structure is. Therefore, one of the aims of this thesis is to prove the valance of Cu ions which take part in perovskite structure. So, it was studied that structural and electrical features of La0,8Cu0,2MnO3 (LCMO) and LaMn0,8Cu0,2O3 (LMCO) perovskite bulk examples that were obtained by the addition of Cu to part A (instead of La) and B (instead of Mn) of LMO compound. Another aim of thesis subject is to find out the effect of sintering process to structural and electrical features of compounds. So, all compounds used within the thesis study were produced by using sol-gel method and processed to heat treatment during 24 and 72 hours at 1100o. It is measured the surface morphologies of bulk compounds used in thesis study by means of Atomic Force Microscope (AKM) and Scanning Electron Microscope with EDS unit (SEM-EDS) images, crystallographic features by means of X-Ray Diffraction Device (XRD) analysis and the vibration among patterns by Fourier Transformation Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) measurements. The electrical properties of compounds are found by using data obtained by low temperature resistance measurement system (R-T) which is able to work in the range of 10-320 K.As a result of the analyses which are made, it is found some differences in structural and electrical properties of the compounds obtained with change of Cu doping and sintering period implemented to A and B part. In consequence of Cu doping to B part, the compound of LMO showing insulator property has exhibited conductive property among 110 K. This result is explained with gaining +2 valance of Cu ions in perovskite structure. In addition, as a result of Cu doping to A part, it is found that two different phases which are perovskite and CuMn2O4 have occurred in crystal structure. It is explained with electrical measurement results that Cu ions have gained +2 valance in every both phases.Keywords: Perovskite manganite compound, sol-gel method, LMO, LCMO, LMCO.

Literatürde, LaMnO3 (LMO) bileşiğine yapılan Cu katkılaması sonucunda elde edilen bileşiklerde, Cu iyonlarının perovskit yapı içerisinde değerliğinin tam olarak ne olduğu açıkça ortaya konulamamıştır. Dolayısıyla, bu tez çalışmasının hedeflerinden biri, üretilen bileşiklerdeki perovskit yapı içerisinde yer alan Cu iyonlarının değerliğini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu yüzden, LMO bileşiğin A bölgesine (La yerine) ve B bölgesine (Mn yerine) yapılan Cu katkılaması sonucunda elde edilen La0.8Cu0.2MnO3 (LCMO) ve LaMn0.8Cu0.2O3 (LMCO) perovskit yığın bileşiklerin yapısal ve elektriksel özellikleri araştırılmıştır. Tez konusunun bir diğer hedefi ise, bileşiklerin yapısal ve elektriksel özelliklerine sinterleme süresinin etkisini araştırmaktır. Bu yüzden tez çalışması kapsamında kullanılan tüm bileşikler standart sol-jel metodu kullanılarak üretilmiş ve 1100 oC?de, 24 ve 72 saat ısıl işleme tabi tutulmuşlardır. Çalışmada kullanılan yığın bileşiklerin yüzey morfolojileri, Atomik Kuvvet Mikroskobu (AKM) ve EDS üniteli Taramalı Elektron Mikroskobu (SEM-EDS) görüntüleriyle, kristalografik özellikleri X-Işını Kırınım Cihazı (XRD) analizleriyle ve örgüler arasındaki titreşimi Fourier Dönüşümlü Kızılötesi Spektroskopi (FTIR) ölçümleriyle yapılmıştır. Bileşiklerin elektriksel özellikleri ise 10-320 K aralığında çalışabilen düşük sıcaklık direnç ölçüm (R-T) sistemiyle elde edilen veriler kullanılarak bulunmuştur. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, A ve B bölgesine yapılan Cu katkılamasının ve sinterleme süresinin değişmesiyle elde edilen bileşiklerin yapısal ve elektriksel özelliklerinde farklılıklar bulunmuştur. B bölgesine yapılan Cu katkılaması sonucunda, yalıtkan özellik gösteren LMO bileşiği 110 K civarında iletken özellik sergilemiştir. Bu sonuç, Cu iyonlarının perovskit yapı içerisinde +2 değerlik kazanması ile açıklanmıştır. Ayrıca, A bölgesine yapılan Cu katkılaması sonucunda, kristal yapı içerisinde perovskit ve CuMn2O4 olmak üzere iki farklı faz oluştuğu bulunmuştur. Her iki faz içerisinde de Cu iyonlarının +2 değerlik kazandığı elektriksel ölçüm sonuçları ile açıklanmıştır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Perovskit manganit bileşik, sol-jel yöntemi, LMO, LMCO, LCMO.
