The aim of this study was to examination of the secondary and high school students' parents attitudes towards physical education and sports courses according to their physical activity levels. In the research conducted in accordance with the screening model, the following questions were sought:1.Is there any significant difference according to gender in the attitudes of the students of secondary and high school students towards physical education and sports?2.Is there any significant difference in the attitudes of the parents of secondary and high school students towards physical education and sports?3. Is there any significant difference in the physical activity levels of the parents of the students in secondary and high school according to gender?4.Is there any significant difference in the level of physical activity of the parents of the students in secondary and high school according to their educational level?5.Is there any significant difference in the attitudes of mothers with high physical activity to physical education and sports course and the attitudes of who has low and medium physical activity towards physical education and sports course?6.Are there any significant differences between the attitudes of fathers who has high physical activity and fathers who has low and middle physical activity towards physical education and sports course?7.Is there any significant difference in the attitudes of the parents of students in secondary and high school towards physical education and sports in terms of total physical activity levels?8.Is there any relationship between the level of physical activity and the attitudes of the parents of the secondary school and high school students towards physical education and sports?The sample of the study consisted of the parents of 500 students who were randomly selected from 3 secondary schools and 3 from high schools in the Beykoz district of Istanbul during the 2018-2019 academic year. 291 of the volunteer parents were female and 209 were male. 18.2% of the participants were graduated from primary school, 24.2% were graduated from middle school, 41.2% were graduated from high school and 16.6% were graduated from university. 9% of them were in low physical activity level, 46.6% of them were in middle physical activity level and % 44.6 of them were a high level of physical activity level. `Physical Education for Parents Course Attitude` scale was used which was consisted of 4 sub-dimensions and 21 questions and was developed by Öncü ve Güven in 2011. Additionally, 'An International Physical Activity Survey (IPAQ)' was also used for determination of physical activity level of parents which was validity and reliability done by Ozturk (2005) and Saglam et al., (2010). SPSS 22.0 Version of Statistical package program was used for the analysis of the research. Descriptive statistics such as variance tests, frequency, percentage and average values were calculated. Also, T-test, Anova, Tukey HDS test and Pearson Correlation tests were applied fort he determination of the differences. P values were set as 0.05. As results of this study, there was no statistically significant difference between the gender and the attitudes of the parents who participated in the study according to gender variable (p>0.05). When the physical activity levels of the parents were compared according to the gender variable, it was seen that there was a statistically significant difference between the genders (p<0.05) but no statistically significant difference was found when compared with the educational variable (p>0.05). The total MET values and total attitude scores of the parents of the high school students were higher than the total MET values and the total attitude scores of the parents of the secondary school students. Negative and positive relationships were observed between the sub-dimensions of physical activity and attitude scale (p<0.01, p<0.05).Key words: Physical Education and Sports, Physical Activity, Attitude.

Bu araştırmada, ortaokul ve lisede öğrenim gören öğrencilerin ebeveynlerinin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumlarının, fiziksel aktivite düzeylerine göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Tarama modeline uygun olarak düzenlenen araştırmada aşağıdaki sorulara cevap aranmıştır:1.Ortaokulda ve lisede öğrenim gören öğrencilerin ebeveynlerinin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumlarında cinsiyete göre anlamlı fark var mıdır?2.Ortaokulda ve lisede öğrenim gören öğrencilerin ebeveynlerinin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumlarında eğitim durumuna göre anlamlı fark var mıdır?3.Ortaokulda ve lisede öğrenim gören öğrencilerin ebeveynlerinin fiziksel aktivite düzeylerinde cinsiyete göre anlamlı fark var mıdır?4.Ortaokulda ve lisede öğrenim gören öğrencilerin ebeveynlerinin fiziksel aktivite düzeylerinde eğitim durumuna göre anlamlı fark var mıdır?5.Fiziksel aktivite düzeyi yüksek olan annelerin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumları ile fiziksel aktivite düzeyi düşük ve orta olan annelerin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumlarında anlamlı fark var mıdır?6.Fiziksel aktivite düzeyi yüksek olan babaların beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumları ile fiziksel aktivite düzeyi düşük ve orta olan babaların beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumlarında anlamlı fark var mıdır?7.Ortaokulda ve lisede öğrenim gören öğrencilerin ebeveynlerinin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumlarında toplam fiziksel aktivite düzeylerine göre anlamlı fark var mıdır?8.Ortaokul ve lisede öğrenim gören öğrencilerin ebeveynlerinin beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumları ile fiziksel aktivite düzeyleri arasında ilişki var mıdır?Araştırmanın örneklemi, 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılında İstanbul'un Beykoz ilçesindeki rastgele seçilmiş 3'ü ortaokul, 3'ü lise olan 6 okuldan toplam 500 öğrencinin ebeveynleri oluşturmuştur. Gönüllü ebeveynlerin 291'i kadın, 209'u erkektir. Katılımcıların %18,2'si ilkokul, %24,2'si ortaokul, %41,2'si lise ve %16,6'sı üniversite mezunu olup, %9'u düşük, %46,6'sı orta ve % 44,6'sı yüksek fiziksel aktivite düzeyine sahiptir. Araştırmada 4 alt boyut ve 21 sorudan oluşan, Öncü ve Güven'in (2011) geliştirdiği `Ana-Babalar için Beden Eğitimi Dersi Tutum Ölçeği` ve 5 bölümden oluşan 27 soruluk, Türkiye'deki geçerlilik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları, Öztürk (2005) ve Sağlam ve ark. (2010) tarafından yapılan `Uluslararası Fiziksel Aktivite Anketi (IPAQ)` kullanılmıştır.Araştırmanın analizinde SPSS 22.0 Versiyon istatistik paket programı kullanılmış ve istatistik incelemelerinde, varyans testleri, frekans, yüzde ve ortalama gibi tanımlayıcı istatistiklerin yanı sıra, t-testi, Anova, Tukey HDS testi ve Pearson korelasyon testleri uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular : Çalışmaya katılan ebeveynlerin, beden eğitimi ve spor dersine yönelik tutumları cinsiyet değişkenine göre karşılaştırıldığında cinsiyetler arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilememişken (p>0.05), eğitim durumu değişkenine göre karşılaştırıldığında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir (p<0.05). Ebeveynlerinin fiziksel aktivite düzeyleri cinsiyet değişkenine göre karşılaştırıldığında cinsiyetler arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği görülmüştür (p<0.05) fakat eğitim durumu değişkenine göre karşılaştırıldığında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilememiştir (p>0.05). Lise öğrencilerinin anne babalarının toplam met değerleri ve toplam tutum puanları, ortaokul öğrencilerinin anne babalarının toplam met değerleri ve toplam tutum puanlarından daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Fiziksel aktivite ve tutum ölçeğinin alt boyutları arasında negatif ve pozitif yönde ilişkiler gözlemlenmiştir (p<0.01, p<0.05).Anahtar kelimeler: Beden eğitimi ve Spor, Fiziksel Aktivite, Tutum.
