Özet

The study area is located within the boundaries of Sürgü town belonged to Doğanşehir district of Malatya province in Eastern Anatolia Region. The study area in the Iran-Turan phytogeographic region is under the influence of Mediterranean climate which is dry in summer and very cold in winter. In the vegetation study carried out according to the Braun-Blanquet method, seven syntaxa (associations) are identified, which 2 of them are belonged to the degraded forest vegetation, 3 of them are belonged to the steppe vegetation and 2 of them are belonged to the riparian vegetation. All of the syntaxa are new for the scientific world. The degraded forest associations are: Thymo kotschyani – Juniperetum oxycedri ass. nova and Coronilla variae - Quercetum cerridis ass. nova. The steppe associations are: Gundelio armatae – Fumanetum aciphyllae ass. nova, Phlomido kurdicae – Astragaletum gummiferi ass. nova and Helichrysi plicati – Polygonetum setosi ass. nova. The riparian associations are: Rubo sancti – Salicetum cinereae ass. nova and Salici cinereae – Elaeagnetum angustifoliae ass. nova.

Çalışma alanı, Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi'ndeki Malatya ilinin Doğanşehir ilçesine bağlı Sürgü kasabası sınırları içerisinde yer almaktadır. İran-Turan fitocoğrafik bölgesindeki çalışma alanı yazı kurak kışı çok soğuk Akdeniz iklimi etkisi altındadır. Braun-Blanquet metodu (1932)' na göre yapılan vejetasyon çalışmasında 2'si bozuk orman vejetasyonu, 3'ü step vejetasyonu ve 2'si ripariyan vejetasyona ait olmak üzere yedi sintakson (bitki birliği) tespit edilmiş olup bunların tamamı bilim dünyası için yenidir. Çalışma alanından tespit edilen birlikler şu şekildedir; bozuk orman vejetasyonu birlikleri Thymo kotschyani – Juniperetum oxycedri ass. nova ve Coronilla variae - Quercetum cerridis ass. nova. Step vejetasyonu birlikleri Gundelio armatae – Fumanetum aciphyllae ass. nova, Phlomido kurdicae – Astragaletum gummiferi ass. nova ve Helichrysi plicati – Polygonetum setosi ass. nova. Ripariyan vegetasyon birlikleri; Rubo sancti – Salicetum cinereae ass. nova ve Salici cinereae – Elaeagnetum angustifoliae ass. nova.
