The aim of the study is to design the basic security system, which can be used in smart homes, in a new approach which is prototypical and open to development. This approach has a more flexible and economical form compared to previous studies. Arduino Uno Electronic Circuit Board was used in this study. The microcontroller in this device can easily be programmed and send and receive data easily and efficiently in digital environment.ATmega328 microcontroller in Arduino Uno is programmed with Processing language. The programming process is carried out with the Arduino IDE interface. To get the best results, trial and error tests which give fast results can be done in the designed system.Software control of the system is done with a designed controlling software and C# (C Sharp) has been used as the programming language. In the designed security system, four sensors (Ultrasonic Sensor(HC-SR04),Temperature Sensor (LM35), Flame Sensor(UP3070FLM), Gaz Sensor(MQ-4)) have been used. The data coming from these sensors are processed owing to interaction controlling software -microntroller.There is a mobile phone in the system (Nokia 6230) and this mobile phone can inform the registered administator in the database about security system via sms or phone calls in case of emergency. Moreover, in case of emergency, a structure, which can send e-mails to inform the registered administrators and users and take precautions, has also been built. All kind of entries related to the system can be sent to the system users in this e-mail. Thanks to this system, the evidences can preserve even in unsolicited situations. The system is able to keep up with the smart device technology which becomes widespread each passing day. The remote control of the system can be acquired on-line with the help of an application which is installed on a smart device(smart phone, tablet PC etc.) with an Android Operating System. This study aims to help developers, academicians and executive staff who wants to design alarm systems, smart house technologies and security systems with interacting Android OS and Arduino based boards and this study is also thought to provide a prototype open to development.2015, 115 pagesKey words: Arduino, Security Prototype, Emergency Warning System, Remote Control.
