Özet

The capital-art relation structuring with the globalization phenomenon has created a different microeconomics functioning within the context of a privileged market in the area of visual arts; and this new paradigm based on media and information technologies is also based on the endless fluidity of the capital that goes towards freedom on the one hand and 'domination' on the other hand. Upon collapse of the Eastern Bloc, as a 'megalopolis', Istanbul's gaining importance as the 'subject' of Turkey's globalization project has enabled the current art field to develop on analytical and structural axes; and the exhibitions launched, materials used and the new means of expression, having been formed in parallel to emerging market in this context, a process starting in the 1980s and continuing throughout the 1990s, have changed the actors, conceptions and works of the art radically. In the 2000s, finally comes institutionalization. The components constituting the practice of art that has shifted from contemporary to current simultaneously with globalization, the shift from episteme to information, the cultural results of globalization, and the capital-current art relation have been evaluated; and the 'mondialisation' concept has been suggested by creating 'resistance and criticism' focuses inside the globalization.
