Many studies have attempted to examine the relationship between economic growth and education or economic growth and employment. This study covers a sample of eight countries in Africa which is selected two countries in the four directions of Africa and these countries are homogenous group with similar characteristics in economic growth pattern, education systems and to some extent, employment conditions. The purpose of this study is to examine the empirical relationship among education, employment and economic growth. In this context, the study assesses the contribution of Education and Employment to economic growth in the 8 selected African countries over the period from 1960 to 2014. More specifically, it is analyzed to what extent school enrolment and employment level has been helping Africa to grow faster. First, series tested for unit root by applying CADF unit root test, then the study employed CCEMG that developed Pesaran (2007) to analyze whether there is a long run relationship between variables.According to the results of CCEMG shows that coefficient of the variables for employment and capital stock are statistically and positively significant to economic growth in Africa. But education result show that insignificantly negative relation with economic growth, because of the low quality of education, inefficient and adoption of incompatible education system in Africa. This study concludes that policy marker as well as African governments should spend much of their national resources to the tertiary and technical education to get skilled graduates, take steps to halt the brain drain that hugely affect African economy and enhance capital investment in the home.Keyword: Economic growth, Employment, Education, Africa, panel data analysis.
