This movement has been called super realism and photo-realism while its name is hyperrealism in French terminology. Hyperrealism is defined as extremely realistic expression of figures and objects in various fields of art. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of hyperrealism on contemporary ceramic art in the context of Trompe l'oeil.
