Objective: The testosterone and serotonin levels in the athletes and sedentaries of our study were determined and compared with aggression levels.Materials and Methods: 60 athletes (30 basketball players, 30 volleyball players) and 20 sedanters participated in the study between 1825 years. For determination of serotonin and testosterone levels, 5 mL of venous blood sample from the forearm cubital veins of the subjects was placed in resting position on the gingival biochemistry tubes. Blood samples were collected and centrifuged at 3500 rpm to separate plasma and serum. Hormone levels were determined in the serum obtained. Aggression scale developed by Buss and Perry (1992) was used to determine aggressiveness levels. In the analysis of the obtained data, one way ANOVA, LSD correction and Pearson correlation tests in relation control were performed. Results: There was no significant relationship between testosterone and serotonin aggression levels in basketball players and sedentaries (p> 0,05). In volleyballs, there was a positive correlation between aggression and testosterone and negative correlation between serotonin (p <0.05). There were no significant differences in testosterone, serotonin and aggression dependent variables in age, sport history, body mass index, and sport group independent variables (p> 0,05). Serotonin and testosterone levels were not significantly different (p> 0,05), while aggression subscales showed significant changes in favor of volleyballs (p <0,05).Conclusion: As a result, it can be said that there is no difference between testosterone and serotonin levels between athletes and sedans, and that volleyball players have higher aggression scores than basketball players and sedanters. Keywords: exercise, hormone, testosterone, serotonin, sportMuhammet Rüstem, GALATA, M. Amaç: Çalışmamızın amacı sporcularda ve sedanterlerde testosteron ve serotonin düzeylerinin belirlenerek saldırganlık seviyeleri ile karşılaştırılmasıdır.
