Global Positioning System (GPS), which has entered every aspect of human life since its first appearance, has become widespread with the introduction of other systems (GLONASS, BEIDOU, QZSS, IRNSS etc.). Today, common name of all systems, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) continue to exist in our lives.Various studies have attempted to determine the GPS position accuracy, especially from the day it existed in order to determine the accuracy depending on base length and session duration. Both the development of the satellite systems, the increase in the variety and the products that provide services for GNSS systems (IGS, CODE, JPL, etc.) have contributed positively on position accuracy. When the system was first released, changes and innovations continued inevitably in measurement methods, estimation methods and software applied for positioning. While processing the data obtained from GNSS systems; scientific/academic, commercial software and web-based applications are being used. Although there are many effects that affect the system, the most important error sources affecting the positioning accuracy with GNSS can be listed as orbit, troposphere and ionosphere.Designed first application, around California in USA (42 stations, 25 baseline) and Istanbul in Turkey (17 statitons, 19 baseline) stations have been identified. The height difference between the stations was kept constant and the baseline length from 0 and 100 km. the effect of height difference was tried to minimize. According to the KP index, minimum ionospheric impact days 4 through 13 in December 2012 (10 days, from 338 to 347 GPS days), and maksimum ionospheric impact days 8 through 13 in October 2012 (6 days, from 282 to 287 GPS days) were specified. Each observation data was subdivided into mutually none-overlapping 1h, 2h, 3h, 4h, 6h, 8h, 12h sessions. The academic software GIPSSY-PPP (ver 6.4), web-based applications CSRS-PPP, OPUS and commercial software were used in the TOPCON MAGNET (ver 4.0.1) assessments respectively.GNSS solution accuracy with GIPSY-PPP, CSRS-PPP and OPUS software depending on observation sessions and GNSS accuracy were tested with TOPCON software based on observation session and baseline lenght. In addition, it has been studied is a meaningful difference between Turkey and the United States. In the second part of the application, another group stations (42 stations, 26 baseline) around California, USA were selected. The baseline lenght between the stations was kept constant (~10-15km) and the hight differences from 50 and 1632 meters. The effect of baseline lenght was tried to minimize. The effect of the incremental difference between stations height on GNSS positioning accuracy was tested with the commercial software TOPCON MAGNET program on days minimum ionnospheric effect (10 days, from 338 to 347 GPS days) and maximum ionospheric effect (6 days, from 282 to 287 GPS days)In the third part, it was tested whether the broadcast and precise ephemeris characteristic of the commercial software TOPCON Magnet was meaningful. In the fourth part, it was tested whether broadcast (GPS) and broadcast (GPS + GLONASS) ephemeris files make a meaningful contribution to the baseline solution results. In practical geodetic studies conducted with GNSS across the country, commercial software is mostly used. Besides the country horizontal control network studies, it is stated that the elevations can now be determined with GNSS in our country and the necessary constraints are introduced for this. With this research, it is aimed to reveal the boundaries and limitations and to make a top-down hierarchy in the light of the latest developments for commercial software and to make clear and accurate analysis of the results of softwares.
