Özet

The study mainly aims to analyze the impact of the individual's income statute to its health statute in Turkey. In order to investigate this, the study used a Cross Sectional Income and Living Conditions Survey which is composed of four year micro data over the years of 2012-2015 that obtained by panel survey method that is conducted by Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT). The most important factor affecting the individual's health statute is accepted as the main variable of income. The models used in the research were designed separately based on the assumption of random and fixed effects in econometric terms. In the assumption of random effects, the probability of income impact on health is analyzed with the ordered probit model and the time factor is ignored. In addition, in order to achieve the desired result, the fixed effects were controlled by the ordered probit model and the effect of time-varying variables was included in the analysis. The aim is to analyze the impact of instant income changes and the impact of the 4-year average income separately.According to conducted study, the results are the main determinants of health statute. And also, there was a positive relationship between household income and paid work status. As a result of empirical findings and theoretical researches, income-raising and income distribution-fair policies should be produced in order to raise both the society and the individual's health statute.
