The Method Of Encouragement And Prohibition İn The Holy Qur' an At the end of our observation and classification studies it was found out that the Holy Qur' an is really the first among the sources containing the methods which train and supervise the human morals. It is because the method of encouragement and prohibition takes place in the Qur' an at a high rate. The sum of the encouragament and prohibition verses in the Qur' an is 3040. The proportion of these verses reaches 48. 9 % of the verses in the relevant suras. This proportion shows that the Holy Qur' an uses both the methods of encouragement and prohibition in training, orientation faith., law, science or in practice. The total number of the encouragement expressions in the Holy Qur' an is 2712. When compared with the total number of the verses encouragement prohibition, its proportion is 89.2 %. On the other hand, the number of prohibition expressions. The proportion of prohibition expressions is 198 %. Here, we can see that the amount of the prohibition expressions is more than the amount of the encouragement expressions. What we observe in the verses of the Holy Qur' an is that there are a lot of methods of training which regulate the human life. A lot of matters related with individual, family and social affairs are handled and studied. When this is done, we are given the message of what the advantages with which the trainer will be provided by understanding humans in all respects are In the verses some principles are poinded out in order to get the desired result. First of all, it is aimed to bring up the model individual who has gamed his present world and the hereafter. It is significant that while people are being trained good news is just given together with fear. We can say that the Qur' anic training is based on a programme which is well-balamed, moderate and systematic. The individual should be between hope and fear, `Beynel havfi verreca-i `. He shouldn' t be conceited about his good actions or he shouldn' t be filled with despair because of his sins. When it is taken in to consideration that verses mentioning reward take place more than verses mentioning prohibition in the Qur' an, it can be said that the Holy Qur' an has got a message which emphasizes reward rather than punishment.
